Amber Joy Poulton is thrilled to announce a big win in the music industry with a TIARA Award for Best Vocal Collaboration for her duet with Doug Bruce, Close Enough. The song is taken from Amber Joy’s highly successful debut album Taking Goodbye.
Amber Joy travelled to Tasmania on the 1st April to be there for the announcement of the coveted award. “Winning a TIARA award in a field of such great artists is the best compliment a singer can get”, said Amber Joy.
The song, written by Doug Bruce (who also co-wrote and produced her debut album, Taking Goodbye) is a heartfelt, country-style ballad. When Doug asked Amber Joy to record the song with him, it was an easy decision.“I’m very influenced by traditional country music and this duet had a Tammy Wynette/George Jones feel to it. There was no doubt in my mind that I wanted it to be on my album”.
Amber Joy’s debut album Taking Goodbye boasts four single releases reaching the Top 30 and two song-writing awards for Good Old Fashioned Days and title track Taking Goodbye. Her current release Show Me is on radio station play-lists around the country and has a film clip about to be released on Foxtel’s Country Music Channel (CMC) this month.
Following the release of her latest single and film clip is a support act for Troy Cassar-Daley in June and a trip to NSW & QLD with her band The Holy Men in July.
Show Me is released to radio with CRS Publicity Australia and the film clip can be viewed on Foxtel’s CMC from 2 weeks onwards. Visit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SrltOA71B0
